The Immigrant Resource Center of Maine (IRCM) is a community-rooted, culturally specific organization that has served Maine for more than 24 years. We work alongside:

  • New arrivals rebuilding their lives in a new place

  • Immigrant and refugee families who have called Maine home for years

  • Lifelong Mainers who want their communities to be safe, welcoming, and economically strong

We believe that when all of our neighbors have stable housing, economic opportunity, and a sense of belonging, the whole community benefits.

    • Support households in relocating families who must move.

    • Provide crisis-responsive, culturally specific support so families are not facing systems alone.

    • Build a sustainable donor base to reduce dependence on unstable funding streams.

    • Expand economic empowerment and youth entrepreneurship programs.

    • Deepen intercultural connection and community education to bridge gaps between new arrivals and lifelong Mainers.

  • Keep families safely housed and connected to work and school.

  • Support business education and coaching for community members.

  • Fund culturally responsive advocacy and case management.

  • Strengthen relationships between new Mainers and longtime residents.

When you donate through ircmcares.org, your contribution provides the following support we need:

  • $25 – Supports outreach, translation, or transportation for a critical housing or benefits appointment.

  • $50 – Helps a household access housing stabilization, advocacy with landlords, or mediation with local officials.

  • $100 – Contributes to stabilizing a housing unit so a family can remain in their home.

  • $250 – Supports safe relocation and wraparound services for a family moving to a new community.

  • $500+ – Sustains housing, economic empowerment, and community education programs across Maine.
